Amberwood Post Acute and Copper Ridge Care Center receive national recognition for their sustained commitment to delivering excellent, high-quality care.

FARMINGTON, UTAH – Two PACS facilities, Amberwood Post Acute in Denver, Colo. and Copper Ridge Care Center in Redding, Calif., have been recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as 2024 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award recipients. This national recognition is given to distinguished providers who demonstrate an enhanced quality of care for their communities’ most vulnerable.

The National Quality Award Program is a rigorous, three-level process focused on elevating the quality of post-acute care nationwide. Applicants begin their journey at the Bronze level, where they develop an organizational profile detailing among other elements their vision and mission, key customers and key strengths and challenges. In addition, Bronze applicants must illustrate the implementation, use and positive impact of a performance improvement system.

“Achieving the Bronze Award is a significant feat and just the beginning for us,” said Darrell Thompson, administrator at Copper Wood Care Center. “The recognition speaks to the caliber of talent and dedication within our family of care givers and support teammates who tirelessly devote their focus to our patients and community.”

Both Amberwood Post Acute and Copper Ride Care Center were evaluated by trained experts against criteria set by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, nationally recognized for helping organizations achieve superior performance over time to improve the quality of life and care of long-term care residents. Through the criteria set forth, each facility proved a steadfast commitment to continuously elevating care quality and service.

“We are enormously proud of our team for achieving the Bronze Award, which is a true testament to the power of providing loving and elevated post-acute care,” said Kennedy Naquin, administrator at Amberwood Post Acute. “Our journey is just getting started, as we continue to seek out opportunities to improve each and every day.”

As a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, both facilities now move forward to the Silver – Achievement in Quality award criteria. The National Quality Awards will be presented during Delivering Solutions 24, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, October 6-9, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.
